Examining watermarks

Boal asked about viewing watermarks. I would argue against
encouraging people to come think of this as a kind of casual
operation, like using a magnifying glass. Rather, if the handling is
to be done, the watermark should be "printed" and filed, so as "to
minimize handling" over and over again.

on methods other than beta radiography; the one by Brett Charbeneau,
