Subject: Bronze
It would seem best to have a conservator familiar with outdoor bronzes perform a series of tests on removal, re-patinations, and coatings before writing a specification for implementation. Such matters as condition, exposure, use, alloy and follow-up maintenance plans should be included in the analysis. It also is important to see to it that the specifications include an approved sample and procedure guidelines with a way to monitor implementation. *** Conservation DistList Instance 11:37 Distributed: Friday, October 17, 1997 Message Id: cdl-11-37-007 ***Received on Wednesday, 15 October, 1997
