The Museum of Modern Art Library

The Museum of Modern Art Library is seeking an individual to plan,
organize and implement a preservation program.  Responsibilities
include preparation of condition surveys, coordinating treatment by
outside conservators, training and oversight of in-house mending,
and development of disaster plan.  Successful candidate will be
expected to keep abreast of new preservation technologies and to
assist with grant writing.  Specialist will work with Librarians and
Archivists to establish priorities for treatment.

Candidates should have degree from recognized preservation program
or conservation graduate program and at least two years of
experience in a library or archival preservation program.  Salary is
competitive plus excellent benefits package including 4 weeks of
