Effects of hydrocarbons on stone monuments

I would be grateful for any  comments on previous work, current
research and/or relevant publications that relate to the effects of
hydrocarbons on stone monuments. At present, this is a general
request, and could include vehicle emissions, particulates or direct
action of petrochemicals on stone. With many thanks.
