Workshop on wood carving

From: Mel J. Wachowiak <mjw<-a>
Date: Wednesday, September 10, 1997
The Furniture Conservation Training Program, Conservation Analytical
Laboratory, will have a carving workshop November 10-14, 1997. This
is intended to supplement basic carving skills. Skills will be
gained through the execution of a mahogany cabriole chair leg with
ball-and-claw foot. The model will be a cast replica (one of
several representing regional18th century high-styles).

The workshop will be led by Wallace Gusler, Master Gunsmith, and
former Director of Conservation, at Colonial Williamsburg.

The workshop will be held at CAL. For further information, please
