The University of Dundee Library Conservation Unit is a regional
centre for paper-based materials and is housed in a new,
purpose-built studio.  Due to the success of this venture,
applications are now invited for a newly created position for a book
conservator. This two-year post offers a stimulating opportunity to
work on significant collections of rare books, and the appointed
conservator will join the existing staff of six conservators and two
clerical assistants, working in a dynamic and friendly atmosphere.

Minimum requirements for applicants are a qualification in book or
paper conservation, together with a demonstrated ability in the
conservation of books.  Self-motivation, enthusiasm and a sense of
humour are also essential.
