Synthetic carpeting

We are seeking information and guideline specifications for
carpeting in art museums. Our 24 year old wool carpet has had
problem in the past with clothes webbing moths, and we are concerned
about the effects of off gassing of sulfurous materials from the
wool. Can anyone provide guidelines about synthetic carpeting,
adhesives, chemical treatments, and backings? We are looking for
any recommendations, published or unpublished literature or
