Cleaning hooked rugs

From: Juliet Graham <aardvark<-a>
Date: Tuesday, July 29, 1997
I am a conservation student, asking on behalf of someone who does
not have access to email.

I am interested to find information regarding cleaning methods for
Nova Scotia hooked rugs. Traditionally, they are usually
burlap-backed with woven wool used for the hooking, although more
recent pieces may have a variety of materials used, for instance
nylon, polyester or acrylic components.
Thanks,

J Graham
