RFP: Conservation Services

It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to
procure professional services to perform hand conservation work for
early printed books, manuscripts, and graphic materials on paper.
The successful offeror will be required to perform paper repair and
cleaning, deacidification, resewing, rebinding, repair of original
binding, and construction of boxes for the protection of volumes.
Demonstrated training, experience, and facilities for complex hand
conservation treatments are required.  The basic term of the
resulting contract will be one (1) year with an additional option
for a one (1) year period.  Proposals must be received by August 22.
