Dating linden wood

Does anyone know how to establish the age of a wooden panel made of
linden? In Poland the only methods available are for dating oak. The
panel is a support of a religious painting (St.Virgin Mary with
Infant Jesus) and had been exposed to extreme heat during a church
fire.

I would be very grateful for any information on methods and possibly
on institutions capable of executing such investigation. Sincerely,
