Painting Conservator Norwegian Folk Museum There is a vacancy for a painting conservator at the Norwegian Folk Museum in Oslo, Norway for a period of six months: from 1st September 1997 to 28th February 1998, with the possibility of extention. The work will mainly involve the conservation of paintings on canvas and wood--and possibly polychrome sculpture--from the 1600s and 1700s. The successful candidate will be able to work independently on various conservation projects. A recognised qualification in painting conservation is required. Salary is set according to Norwegian state regulations: kr. 195.900-239.600 per annum.
