Perhaps the Teletemp Corporation's "TelaDrop Transit Recorders"
would be suitable? These devices indicate the amount of shock a
package has received using small bandaid sized instruments with two
weighted mass lead spring actuated sensors. They are available in
G-ranges of 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, and 100 and are accurate to plus or
minus 10% of their rated G-force. There are two models--those which
can't be reset and are intended for one-time use on the outside of
packages--and those which can be reset up to 50 times intended for
internal packaging use. Three of these devices will monitor
shock/vibration from all sides.

The cost is very low--about $4 each for orders under 100.
