Association's (ALA) Rare Books & Manuscripts Section (RBMS) will
meet in San Francisco:

Agenda:

    Introduction of attendees.

    Announcements from attendees.

    Review of the midwinter discussions.

    Update by Minolta Corp. representatives of their midwinter
    presentation on the company's imaging products and current uses.

    Discussion and examples of special collection web sites which
    include conservation and/or preservation information.

    Update on utilization of the MARC 856 field to contain condition
    information, as applied to general library materials and to
    special collections.

    Selection of next meeting's topic.
