The Art Gallery of Western Australia has the following vacancies:

Manager Conservation Services (Position No. 3301)
Level 5, Part Time 80%
Salary: $33, 516-$37,042
Three year contract

Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in
conservation of cultural materials or appropriate related field,
with a minimum of seven years work experience in a museum or art
institution. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in administrative
and financial procedures related to the conservation of works of art
and museum practices; a high level of organisation and management
skills; extensive knowledge of conservation ethics and practice; and
a demonstrated commitment to the visual arts and continuous
improvement.

Duties: Manages and co-ordinates the conservation program. Develops
policies, implements programs and strategies for treatments, storage
and building services to ensure the preservation of the State art
collection and effective delivery of Gallery programs.

Objects Conservator (Position No. 3303)
Level 4
Salary: $37,661-$39,803

Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualification in
conservation of cultural materials plus two years relevant
experience in an art museum or related institution; or a minimum of
five years practical equivalent experience working in a museum or
art institution. Demonstrated interest in fine art, art history and
museum operations; knowledge of analysis used in art conservation
and experience in preventative conservation techniques; good
understanding of conservation ethics and practices, as well as
laboratory procedures and safety practice.

Duties: Undertake conservation treatment of works of art and applies
specialised conservation skills. Participates in planning and
implementation of preservation programs and undertakes exhibition
related duties.

Paper Conservator (Position No. 3304)
Level 4
Salary: $37,661-$39,803

Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualification in

experience in an art museum or related institution; or a minimum of

art institution. Demonstrated interest in fine art, art history and
