Phloroglucinol

Does anyone know the characteristics/formula/health hazards etc. of
the chemical substance "phloroglucine" ? I ordered it but the vendor
does not have any information. It is used to determine wood in paper
and seems to be some kind of acid.
I tried to find it on the net (Fisher and Acro Chemicals) but I found
just "phloroglucide ( C12 H10 O5 )"..... Is this the same substance
as "phloroglucine"?

    **** Moderator's comments: I think you're referring to
    Phloroglucinol C6H3(OH)3 . 2H20
You'll find MSDSs online. See the Health/Safety page in CoOL
(Try, Vermont SIRI, an excellent source)
