Detecting mold

Nancy Child conditions her suggestion by saying that the "problem
with [it] is in finding a lamp with the specific UV radiation." The
range she mentions overlaps "short-wave," which is 180-280 nm, and
"medium-wave," 280-320 nm. The big scientific supply houses--Fisher,
Cole-Parmer--show a variety of such lamps, and fixtures
(technically, the "lamp" is the light-generating unit, or
"luminaire"). BTW, I would urge considerable caution with these
wavelengths, using both proper eye protection, and also protective
clothing. This is pretty actinic (energic) stuff.
