Silica treatment for termite infestations

Has anyone had any experience with, or theoretical insight into a
commercially available service for drywood termite eradication using
colloidal silica injected into wood structures?  The company
apparently claims a highly successful residual effect against new
infestations, and other advantages such as no toxic chemicals, etc.
