Hotel for AIC Meeting

Travellers to the AIC 1997 Annual Meeting in San Diego should be
alert to the fact that if you secure a room at the Town and Country
Hotel (official conference hotel) with your credit card, you will be
billed immediately for the first night of your reservation. If you
do not use a credit card to secure your reservation, you will have
ten days to send a check covering the first night's rent. If you
cancel 48 hours prior to your reservation date, your "deposit" will
be refunded. Just thought you'd like to know. Never heard of such a
thing down here in Texas.
