Effective presentations

I am putting together a compilation article for the May issue of the
WAAC Newsletter of tricks/hints/methods for giving good talks.
Anything from wearing comfortable shoes to choosing slides for good
visual flow. Contributions can be any length and can be run with or
without attribution, as wished.  Think of all the times you've been
trapped in a darkened room listening to a talk that could
have/should have been better than it was.  Send one or a dozen. ASAP
please to meet deadline.
