Identification of Illustration Processes, 1800-1914: A Hands-On Workshop 9th Annual Utah Preservation Consortium Workshop May 14, 1997 Ogden Egyptian Center David Eccles Conference Center 2415 Washington Blvd Ogden, Utah A rare opportunity to learn how to differentiate among the myriad imaging techniques used to illustrate books printed during the 19th and early 20th centuries, this full-day workshop will provide invaluable information for the accurate identification, cataloging, and connoisseurship of rare books, prints, and archives materials, and for expanding one's knowledge of the history of the book. Professor Terry Belanger, drawing on the print collections of the Book Arts Press (http://poe.acc.Virginia.EDU/~oldbooks/) at the University of Virginia, will conduct this workshop. It is presented as a pre-conference session to the Utah Library Association's Annual Meeting and co-sponsored by ULA's Archives, Manuscripts, and Special Collections Roundtable. Attendance is limited to 80 participants. Registration for the workshop is $25 before April 15 and $35 after.
