Identification of Illustration Processes, 1800-1914: A Hands-On
    Workshop
9th Annual Utah Preservation Consortium Workshop
May 14, 1997
Ogden Egyptian Center
David Eccles Conference Center
2415 Washington Blvd
Ogden, Utah

A rare opportunity to learn how to differentiate among the myriad
imaging techniques used to illustrate books printed during the 19th
and early 20th centuries, this full-day workshop will provide
invaluable information for the accurate identification, cataloging,
and connoisseurship of rare books, prints, and archives materials,
and for expanding one's knowledge of the history of the book.
Professor Terry Belanger, drawing on the print collections of the
Book Arts Press (http://poe.acc.Virginia.EDU/~oldbooks/) at the
University of Virginia, will conduct this workshop. It is presented
as a pre-conference session to the Utah Library Association's Annual
Meeting and co-sponsored by ULA's Archives, Manuscripts, and Special
Collections Roundtable.

Attendance is limited to 80 participants. Registration for the
workshop is $25 before April 15 and $35 after. For a copy of the
registration form or more information on the workshop, please
