Classic plastics clinic Edinburgh, April 2-3, 1997 The Edinburgh International Science Festival takes place in April in Scotland, and will include a classic plastics clinic. Organised by Dr Anita Quye at the National Museums of Scotland and the Historical Polymer Research Scientists Group jointly with the Plastics Historical Society, the event is free of charge and open to conservators, curators, collectors and historical plastics enthusiasts. There will be a series of lectures on history of plastics, degradation, conservation and current research topics. Also available will be experts in identification of plastics materials (supported by Nicolet) and on conservation techniques for plastics items in museum collections.
