First E.C.C.O. Congress

The Conservator-restorer's professional activity and status and its
responsibility towards the cultural heritage Florence, Italy,
Palazzo degli Affari

With this congress E.C.C.O. intends to face thexmain legal problems of
our profession and to discuss the possibilities of
conservator-restorers's and firm's qualification.

The following topics will be presented:

    The conservator-restorer's responsibility towards the cultural
    heritage

    Intellectual property and author's rights. Professional
    confidentiality

    Contract of employment for the conservator- restorer, for
    trainees

    Safety regulation of the activity, health protection in the
    workshop and outside on the worksites

    Professional relation and types of contracts between the
    conservator-restorer and private and public owners.

The congress will be ended by a debate on: The
conservator-restorer's professional status.

Cultural Heritage

The lecturers will be from different professions: Lawyers, curators,
conservator/restorers, representatives of European Union Commissions,
Representatives from SEPLIS (European Secretariat for the Liberal
professions, From CNEL (Consiglio Nazionale dell'Economia e del
lavoro), from UNI (Ente Italiana Unificazione), from OMPI
(Organisation Mondiale de la propriete intellectuelle), from various
technical offices of the Italian Ministries of Public Works, of
Cultural Heritage and Justice, representatives of conservator -
restorer's organisations and of craftsmen organisations etc.
