A position is currently available as conservator (objects or
painting)/engineer in the section for conservation studies.

Two-year undergraduate courses in conservation of paintings and
objects are about to be established. The courses will allow for 10
students, 5 in objects conservation and 5 in paintings. The courses
will be run by two professors, one in each profession, a student
consultant and the conservator/engineer currently advertised. The
applicant must hold a minimum 3-year education in conservation or
engineering. A background in conservation and conservation science
is desired.

Responsibilities will include daily care and maintenance of the
student laboratories and the scientific equipment used for teaching.
It is necessary that the applicant can advise students in the care
and use of scientific equipment, guide students in their practical
exercises tied to course work and assist the professors in practical
demonstrations connected with the teaching program.

Adequate knowledge in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish or English is
required. Salary according to code 1095 ("avdelingsingenior), LR
(wage scale NOK 195.900 - NOK 239.600 based on seniority)
