Gasket materials

Can anyone provide me with the latest information regarding
"acceptable" exhibit case gasketting material. I was recently
contacted by the Exhibit Department of the museum--they are in the
process of constructing new glass cases and wanted to know of any
alternatives to the products made from neoprene or poly(vinyl
chloride). I would appreciate any input and/or leads.
