Deterioration of UV filters

In regards to the question of deterioration of UV filters:  Bob
Feller did some work on UF-2, the old UV-filtering plastic from the
1950's for the National Gallery, Washington.  He found that it
became more effective with time because of yellowing.  I'm not sure
whether this was published in one of Bob's publications on museum
lighting, but I believe that it was....
