United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum seeks a museum
specialist, Paper Conservator with proven skills in the conservation
of photographic materials (black and white prints, negatives, glass
positives, etc.).  Serves as part of a dynamic conservation team.
Responsibilities include the examination, treatment, technical
analysis, and documentation of the Museum's collection of Holocaust
related materials as well as artifacts on loan.  Teaches and trains
interns, technicians, art handlers, and other museum staff.

The candidate should have expert knowledge of the principles and
practices of paper and photographic materials conservation, a
knowledge of mid-twentieth century artist materials and techniques
and a knowledge of the photographic processes and materials of the
first half of the twentieth century.

The position is located in Washington, D.C. and Linthicum, Maryland.
Starting salary is $38,330 (GS11). Applicants must submit a resume
