Someone here suggested that you try wrapping the shelves in shrink
wrap. It sounded like a good idea to me. In fact, back in my truck
loading days, we used to transport huge stacks of boxes filled with
heavy glass bottles. The stacks were wrapped in a heavy duty
saran-wrap-like material. The stacks sometimes tilted but they never
fell. And the wrap was strong enough that it didn't break. In fact,
we couldn't even rip it off. Something like that might help.
