I attended an impressive lecture on this subject at the Institute of
Paper Conservation 10th anniversary conference in Oxford UK. The
speaker was Sylvia Sumira, then a student conservator at the
National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London. Ms Sumira, who I
believe still specialises in globes, is currently listed on the IPC
register and her address is;
