Chipboard

I am preparing a piece on the inadvisability of using chipboard for
shelving and am seeking a definitive reference on the problems of
offgassing of formaldehyde from chipboard and also the damaging
effects of formaldehyde on artifacts. Does anybody know of a good
reference?
