I have contacted Atco, and thought it would be helpful to clarify
what they carry in hopes that someone could provide an alternate
source.

They have two types of metal corners, one type involving the
insertion of rivets and screws (sounds like something more suitable
for cabinetry than box making); another type they describe as a
metal corner reinforcer one frequently sees on the rounded corners
of restaurant menus.

The type of metal corners not carried by Atco, and one in which I am
interested in purchasing, is typical of the types you see on corners
of boxes sold by many companies--Light Impressions, Gaylord,
Conservation Resources, University Products, Metal Edge West, and
the like--often called drop front print storage boxes or document
cases--the metal corners are used as fasteners on lig-free tan box
board or on an archival gray-white boxboard. Obviously one would
need the corners and the applicator tool. If anyone can share with
us a source of this technology, at least one of us would appreciate
it.
