Private practice

I would like to know if book and paper conservators working in
private practice carry insurance for objects they work on. What
about clients who don't like the outcome of a treatment performed
and feel it to be ruined. If so, which company?  Does anyone have an
opinion to share, or advice to offer?  Is insurance a concern with
conservators generally?
