Research on non-invasive identification of materials

We are considering a research project with a FTIR spectrophotometer
manufacturer concerning the non-invasive identification of
materials. Both Nicolet and Bruker appear to be co-operative and we
would welcome any comments if any other researchers have any
experience of projects with these two companies. In view of the
somewhat sensitive nature of this request, please could any
responses by directly to me rather than generally posted.
