Damage caused by conservators

Twice in a month conservators appear to have wreaked havoc:

An early report on the Windsor Castle fire attributed it to "the
combination of high intensity halogen lights with cleaning fluids [sic]
from cleaning paintings".

Last week a library in a castle in Vienna (?) burned down, reportedly due to
the carelessness of a conservator.

Does anyone have any verification of these reports?
