The Preservation Special Interest Group of ALISE is holding its annual
program on Thursday evening, January 21st at the Westin Hotel - Tabor
Center, the site of the 1993 ALISE Meeting. The topic is "Preservation
of Electronic Media." There will be two speakers: Richard Cox of the
University of Pittsburgh, and Ward Shaw of the Colorado Alliance of
Research Libraries (CARL). The co-convenors for this year's SIG are
Michele V. Cloonan of UCLA and Gordon (Barry) Neavill of the University
of Alabama. Mark your calendars now!

**** Moderator's comments: Again, please expand acronyms. Thanks
to Connie Brooks for explaining that ALISE is the Association for
Library and Information Science Education, and organization for
    library school faculty.
