Bob DeCandido's remarks on packaging and shipping are timely and
valuable.  Just one note for the readers of the Distlist:  The RLG
publication Bob cites (The RLG Preservation Manual, 2nd ed., Stanford,
CA: 1986) is out of print and not available.  Anyone wishing
machine-readable text for the guidelines Bob mentioned -- "Interlibrary
Loan Wrapping and Packaging Guidelines" -- may send a request to me at
bl.nee [at] rlg__stanford__edu
