Subject: PLMS Program in San Francisco
Developing cooperative statewide preservation programs merits serious consideration by the institutions and individuals responsible for the stewardship of documentary resources held within the United States. "Breaking Ground: Building Statewide Preservation Programs," a 3 1/2 hour program to be held Sunday, June 28, 2-5:30, and sponsored by the PLMS [Preservation of Library Materials Section, American Library Association] Education Committee with ASCLA and RBMS [Rare Book and Manuscript Section] co-sponsors, will provide education for those who are involved in or who are thinking about implementing preservation programs at the statewide level. Six speakers, representing a wide range of perspectives and experience, will address the challenges, successes, and problems of organizing and developing statewide preservation programs. Resource materials will be provided. The program will be held in the Marriott Hotel, Sunset Rooms A-C. **** Moderator's comments: Once again, posters should attempt to expand acronyms. We have people from a wide spread of disciplines here. *** Conservation DistList Instance 6:1 Distributed: Friday, June 5, 1992 Message Id: cdl-6-1-003 ***Received on Thursday, 4 June, 1992
