Subject: Microfilm box labels
I received a response from Jan Merrill-Oldham regarding the foil-backed pressure-sensitive microfilm box labels I blathered to everyone about in this space last time. Here are her comments: I tell you--those labels worry me. They peel up from phase boxes and other types of gray/white boxes. The corners lift away, and they start to curl. Why wouldn't this happen on microfilm boxes too?" I would ask Marcia Watt to go into more detail regarding the accelerated aging tests to which Gisela Noack subjected sample labels. Did they curl or peel? Did the corners lift away? Over to anyone. *** Conservation DistList Instance 5:58 Distributed: Friday, May 22, 1992 Message Id: cdl-5-58-001 ***Received on Tuesday, 19 May, 1992
