Subject: Odor removal
Just talked to Patrick King of Midwest Freeze Dry Associates in Chicago about this-- he's sold on woodruff, an odiferous herb (smells like new mown grass) available at your local apothecary or alchemist shop. Just soak it in alcohol till it looks green and brush, spray or roll onto the affected pages. He has back-gassed it into his vacuum chamber (I'm serious) to good affect after treating moldy books with a biocide. Have you noticed how technology does a back-flip, ever and anon? *** Conservation DistList Instance 5:55 Distributed: Friday, May 8, 1992 Message Id: cdl-5-55-005 ***Received on Thursday, 7 May, 1992
