Microfilm box labels

Here is some additional info about the microfilm box labels Marcia
described in the last distlist which will be available soon from
University Products.

Label specs:
paper layer, pH 6.5
acid-free acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive
1-7/16"wide x 3-1/2"long
pin-feed sheet, 4-1/2"wide (labels horizontal); 1/16" between
labels; perforations every 5 labels
1,000 labels per package

The first library to order these will have to wait 4 weeks or so to get
the labels because UP has to order a die to cut them. Subsequent orders
should have to wait only 2-3 weeks. All indications show that this will
be an acceptable product, certainly better than the Avery and like
labels we have been using here at Princeton. The one disadvantage is
their availability only in pin-feed format. They should also be
available in sheets to use easily in a typewriter or laser printer. Oh
well, we will come to that no doubt if there is overwhelming demand for
this product. Hey MAPS, NEDCC! Order zillions, why don't you?
