Flammable film

Has anyone else tried burning Kodak Plus X 35mm film lately? Doing a class
demonstration on identifying nitrate film (which burns vigorously), I
used a sample of Plus X for comparison, and was surprised to find it
burn almost as well. Is this normal, or desirable?
