            BENCHMARK(TM): Conservation Management Software
            -----------------------------------------------

Logic Associates announces BENCHMARK, a database package designed
specifically to provide record keeping and information analysis for
conservation facilities. The BENCHMARK system was conceived and
developed in collaboration with the preservation department of a major
research library. Extensive menus and on-screen instructions make
BENCHMARK easy to use, even for computer novices. The user provides the
information about the condition and the selected treatments for each
item. BENCHMARK provides the needed processing slips, reports, and
record keeping and maintenance.

The user can invoke any of several standard reports whenever desired.
These include: Items awaiting treatment, monthly/yearly statistics, and
various charts and graphs. The user may also create custom reports.
BENCHMARK allows instant, on-line access to any record, so inquiries
about any individual item can be quickly answered,

BENCHMARK runs on IBM PCs and compatibles with 640K RAM, a hard disk,
and PC-DOS version 2.0 or later. BENCHMARK also requires the PC-File
shareware database package (available through this vendor). A version
for dBASE III/+ is under review. Single-machine license, including
manual, hotline number, and one year of support: $129 ($99 if ordered
by Dec 31, 1989).

**** Moderator's comments: PC-File is readily available from
    almost any local BBS
