Subject: Call for Interest 1989 Triage Team
Forwarded from Envoy 100 (Conservation Information Network) Posted: Tue Mar 7, 1989 From: CIN.NDCC TO: cin.network Subject: Call for Interest 1989 Triage Team A swarm of volunteers appeared to help Florence salvage its cultural treasures and household goods after the floods of 1966. These volunteers were called "Angels of the Mud," and disappeared quietly when the crisis was under control. Remember the Cabildo? Wish you'd been a part of last year's fun? The Angles are reviving for another effort. Join an interdisciplinary team for the ultimate "before and after" experience. Plan to arrive in Cincinnati three three days before the upcoming AIC Conference to practice and talk shop with your colleagues. Ingenuity and improvisation will be the order of the day. No money or glory are involved, but food and lodging should be provided. The project is being organized now, and details will be available as they're arranged. This is a call for expressions of interest. Call Lisa Mibach (216-775-1404) (244 North Professor Street, Oberlin, OH 44074) for more information Bring your copy of "Recent Setbacks in Conservation" and YOB for ready reference. **** Moderator's comments: If anyone has any idea (or if you call Lisa to find out) what this is about, I'd be grateful if you'd explain it to me. *** Conservation DistList Instance 2:12 Distributed: Sunday, March 12, 1989 Message Id: cdl-2-12-007 ***Received on Sunday, 12 March, 1989
