If by CD wallets, you mean the plastic/vinyl things with vinyl
sleeves, I would not have any other plastic touching the surfaces of
the CD. The jewel case was designed to hold the CD with both
surfaces free of contact with the case. The hub is the only
support, and that is what any support system should do.
If you want to know what happens over time with flexible vinyl, Take
a vinyl covered loose leaf notebook, and place a Xeroxed page in
toner contact with the vinyl cover. It will print off with time and
temperature variations.
