I recall some magazine statements about a microcassette music format that
was being worked on - with metal tape formulations and dolby C noise
reduction. A hifidelity format the size of a postage stamp or close to. Some
thought microcassettes would graduate from voice only to a viable tape music
format, as the larger cassette before it had done thanks to Ray Dolby.
Didn't happen, CDs were coming on the market about that same time.
