In my opinion it is quite good Peter. There is a demo on the sonic foundry
site of Sound Forge and the Noise Reduction plug-ins.

Try it first. I've been playing with the demo version nd am bout ready to
sink some $$$ into it.

For more money there is a hardwre/software solution called Creamw@are that
you might look into as well. As I recal there are also other links on Graham
Newton's site.
