I assume that the dogs are going for the glue that binds the two layers
of DVDs together, and this is not present in CDs.  But the dogs can't
tell the pirates from the legit -- or can they?  The irony is that until
recently most pirate films in the orient were done on the VCD system
which put video on ordinary CD pressings.
