Re: [ARSCLIST] John Cage's "4'33" Is This Week's iTunes Discovery Download

But I protest! The piece is three movements, the first being 30 seconds, and they posted an anonymous 1:45 - equal lengths for the three movments (the other two cost 99 cents each) so in the midst of pulling an april fools joke early, they made fools of themselves!

Ha ha, but I now have a free "song" downloaded.

Tuesday, March 31 John Cage's "4'33" Is This Week's iTunes Discovery Download Haha

This week's iTunes "Discovery Download" is the first "movement" of John Cage 's legendary 1952 piece "4'33". How cool is that?
For those of you who might not be familiar with "4'33": Yes, it is supposed to be completely silent. iTunes offers a helpful explanation on the download page, but I can only imagine how many people are being baffled by it at this very moment.
Hats off to the joker who wrote in the customer reviews, "It's great that iTunes is offering free John Cage, but they should have really offered the remastered version. The difference is plain to hear!"
