Ho all ye tape gurus,

I've got a Fuji R-120 R-DAT tape that has a FOUR FOOT tear (rip). Is there any use of trying to repair it along the torn section or should I just cut my losses (approximately FOUR FEET of loss) and do a but end splice.

Any thoughts appreciated! :-)
