What's funny is that it turns out AEG had approached RCA about licensing the
technology before the war. Some of NBC's engineering management had been to
Berlin, seen it for themselves, and came back very enthusiastic. They were
met with David Sarnoff vetoing the idea because RCA couldn't own the patent
outright.
