The fact that I heard a classical station play an entire mono CD this afternoon
should answer that question. Granted, it was solo piano, and not all that well
recorded..and it was by an artist who is still among us and who rerecorded this
particular music in stereo, possibly twice. (Danzas Espanolas played by Alicia
de Larrocha..WNED played the old 1954 Decca recording.)
